Indeed! *snort* (Imagine me sticking my nose a mile high in the air!) The girls and I are looking for an alternative way to get around our little town. I don’t want to buy a stupid car. I don’t want to buy more stupid gas. Period. We are looking into a tuk tuk (a motorized rickshaw, basically). Well, since we haven’t decided we are now using our bikes. Everyone has a helmet and all bikes have flashers. We practice hand signals so when we go out they know what to use.
We rode our bikes to the Optometrist today. A whole five minutes away.
The girls had a blast until some overly fat guy decided to pull up beside us and tell us we were f*ng crazy and that children did not belong on the road. I just smiled and waved, so did the girls.
LOL!
Let me ask this question. How long is it going to take before Americans remember what a protest is? (One that isn’t about race and equality, but about demanding action being taken.) Seriously??? Why do people just lay down and take it? I cannot do it. I am just not programmed that way…. LOL Justin and I have decided that an older electric tuk tuk is the answer for us.
I am going to have him paint our new slogan on it, The American Gas Out. LOL!
How much longer do you think people are going to just take it? Do you think it will take families starving because they have to choose between gas and food? Or starving because food prices continue to soar even though minimum wage is still the same.
That is what I ask you to think about tonight. Help my family and become part of the change and part of the solution. I have always said, if you aren’t part of the solution then you are the problem.
I am such a witch, aren’t I. I understand people have to buy gas to get to work. Justin does too, and at 100 dollars a week I want to die! LOL I am simply asking for people to change at least ONE habit. If you have a doctor’s appointment within walking distance, walk or ride a bike. Strap on your helmet and bike across town, you wouldn’t believe how much faster you will get there because you aren’t sitting in traffic.
